The most famous destination in Sebring is no doubt the Sebring International Raceway, known around the world for its week long race activity in the fall and spring each year.

In the 1950's an annual sports car race was established at the Sebring airport using excess runways. The world renowned "12 Hours of Sebring" continues today as the oldest road race of its kind in North America.

The racetrack also offers such events as Sebring Speedfest, featuring late model stock cars and sports cars, as well as the Historic Sportscar Endurance Challenge.

The Children's Museum of the Highlands provides a safe area for children (ages 1-12) to learn and explore. Through exhibits and on going programs the museum provides ways for children to enhance their curiosity, develop their imagination and learn about a variety of experiences while having a great time in interactive exhibits. A wonderful destination for children of all ages.

The Sebring Historical Society offers displays and information about Sebring's past.

Be sure to visit the Sebring Public Library to view the famous WPA mural of Prehistoric Florida painted by New York artist Charles R. Knight.

And let's not forget about SHOPPING!!!

Visitors enjoy Lakeshore Mall as well as the many specialty shops and boutiques that abound in Sebring's Downtown.

Known as "The City on the Circle", Sebring, Florida was founded in 1911 by George Sebring.

This pioneer conceived a unique circular plan as a focal point for this entire lakeside community. His idea was that all roads should lead to and from the center of the community and despite many modern highway improvements since, thus it remains today.

Today, Circle Park and Circle Drive are the focal point for many community events and festivals and the area is ringed by shops and businesses of all types.
